Clinical Analysis Of Common Complications Of Long Nasointestinal Tube

Objective：To investigate the causes and prevention of the common complicationsof long nasointestinal tube in treatments.Methods：Retrospective analysis the clinical data of88cases which are treated byusing long nasointestinal tubes（including61cases which are treated by internalintestinal splinting with long nasointestinal tubes），during2006and2012in thedepartment of general surgery(3) of Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University，analysis and discuss the occourence and management to deal with the frequentcomplication.Results：The rate of complication is95.8%(84/88) on uncomfortable pharynxfeeling or pain，44.3%（39/88）on electrolyte distuebances，25%on tube accident[15.9%(14/88) on tube obstruction，5.6%(5/88) on tube removal，2.3%（2/88）on tubeappeared from the anus，1.1%（1/88）on the front gasbag，no tube fracture happened]，3.4%（3/88）on aspiration pneumonitis，no bowel bleeding，bowel perforation and bowelnecrotic happened，no complications related to the deaths happened（2cases were deadbecause of the serious abdominal infection and poor general condition after the internalintestinal splinting because of early postoperative inflammatory bowel obstruction.）Conclusion：Uncomfortable pharynx feeling or pain，electrolyte distuebances，tubeobstruction is the common complication。Aspiration pneumonitis，bowel bleeding，bowel perforation and bowel necrotic is the serious complication with low incidencerate。We should take enough attention，active prevention and cure measure to thecomplications of long nasointestinal tubes.
