| Purpose: With respect to the subject of patients with SIRS/MODS.Firstly, to observethe effect of Sheng Jiangsan on APACHE Ⅱ score and MODS severity score of patientswith SIRS/MODS, and to seek new idea on TCM treatment of SIRS/MODS. Secondly, toevaluate the effect of Sheng Jiangsan on serological nutrition indicators, to provide ideasfor the Chinese medicine treatment on SIRS/MODS.Methods: The study subjects were from Shandong Qianfoshan Hospital ICUinpatients, during May2012to December2012. The thirty-one inpatients are all in linewith SIRS/MODS diagnostic criteria, and were divided into treatment group (n=16) andcontrol group(n=15) randomly.Based on conventional comprehensive therapy(includingrespiratory support, maintain hemodynamic stability, anti-infection, nutritional support, promote gastrointestinal peristalsis, diuretic and blood purifier, etc.), treatment group wasgiven Shengjiangsan according to TCM symptom types. White jiang can (Jiuchao)6g,whole chan tui (without earth)3g, jiang huang (peeled)9g, chuan da huang(raw)12g,thisfour herbs are free decoction grains, fully dissolved in200ml cooking rice wine togetherwith10ml honey. The four herbs were fed from nasogastric by two equal in morning andevening for thirteen days. The control group received conventional western medicine, andfed200ml normal saline which was divided into two parts from nasogastric in morningand evening for thirteen days.Recorded the levels ofalbumin(ALB),prealbumin(PA),transferrin(TRF), total cholesterol (TC) and APACHE Ⅱscore, MODS severity score and abdominal internal pressure before treatment and on thethird, seventh, fourteenth day. Analyzed by SPSS16.0. Result:In the end of treatment,16patients in treatment group were higher than thosebefore treatment in albumin, prealbumin, transferrin, total cholesterol levels, with asignificant difference (P<0.05),and were significantly decreased(P<0.05) compared withthe previous APACHE Ⅱ score, MODS severity score and abdominal internal pressure; atthe end, the levels including albumin, transferring and total cholesterol weredecreased(P<0.05) than before treatment in control group, control grouppatients’prealbumin level was increased with a significant difference than before. Incontrol group, both APACHE Ⅱ score and MODS severity score abdominal weredecreased(P<0.05),patiens’ abdominal internal pressure was higher than before(P<0.05(.At the end,in control group patients the level of albumin, prealbumin, transferrinprotein and total cholesterol were all higher than those in the treatment group significantly(P<0.05). APACHE Ⅱ score, MODS score and severity of intra-abdominal pressure oftreatment group were significantly lower than the control group (P <0.05).Conclusion:1.The method of Shengjiangsan combined with conventional Western medicinetreatment, can significantly reduce APACHE Ⅱ score, MODS score and severity ofintra-abdominal pressure among patients with SIRS/MODS, and better than Westernmedicine alone.2.Shengjiangsan combined with conventional western medicine,It can significantlyimprove the serological nutrition indicators of patients with SIRS/MODS, better thanWestern medicine alone. |
