Objective: To establish a model of acute forebrain ischemia complicated by multiple organ dysfunctional syndrome(MODS); to investigate changes in tissue pathology of lung, liver, intestines, kidney; to investigate lipopolysaccharide of plasma and gene expression of tumor necrosis factor-a in vital organs after acute forebrain ischemia; to discuss the pathogenesis of acute forebrain ischemia complicated with MODS.Methods: (l)Acute forebrain ischemia model of rat was established by 30 minutes of bilateral common carotid artery occlusion followed by reperfusion. 54 Wistar rats were randomly divided into seven groups: normal control groups (n=6), sham-operative group(n=8), and 5 ischemia groups(n=40)including 12h, 24h, 36h, 48h, 72h five time points,(2)Changes of symptoms and signs including temperature and respiration of each group were recorded, and the amount of WBC and function liver and kidney were assayed.(3)Pathological changes of lung , live, intestines and kidney were recorded and pictures were taken through optical microscope. The area density and optical density of TNF-α mRNA expressing were analyzed for the relative content of...
