Research Progress Of Diagnosis And Surgical Treatment Of Proximal Humerus Fractures

To review the recent progress of diagnose,classification,and proximalhumerus fracture surgical treatment. Recent literature was extensivelyreviewed and summarized,concerning the progress of proximal humerusfracture surgical treatment.Proximal humerus fracture is a common diseasein elderly people. The incidence is only second to proximal femur fractureand Colles fracture. In the past few decades, proximal humerus fractureshave several therapeutic methods. Stable fractures generally take aconservative treatment. Surgical treatment for fracture with obvious shift isvaried. Such as percutaneous fixation,open reduction internal fixation,Intramedullary nailing,shoulder arthroplasty.But for3,4part of fractureswith obvious shift, choosing conservative treatment or surgery, or choosingwhich surgical approach, is still very controversial. Recently, theemergence of angle stable technology and locked plate, reconstructproximal humerus medial support and the development of hemiarthroplasty and Reverse shoulder arthroplasty, have brought better results to thesurgical treatment of unstable fractures of the proximal humerus.
