Objective:To evaluate the Curative effect of tourniquet in cesareansection. Methods: Retrospective analysis was made in358cases ofpostpartum hemorrhage(PPH). All patients accepted cesarean delivery inFirst Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University Hospitalduring January,2007to December,2011.Divided the cases in two groups(thestudy group(90cases) and the control group(268cases))base on the casesuse tourniquet or not.The application method of tourniquet was:Intraoperative fetal childbirth、 part or whole placenta stripping, the pooruterine contractions or blood loss≥400ml, using tourniquet to blind loweruterine segment immediately. Results:The causes of PPH are uterine inertia, placenta accrete andadherence, coagulation disorders. There are146cases of uterine inertia,148cases of placenta accrete,24cases of coagulation disorders and40cases of others.90cases(25.13%,90/358) used tourniquet to blind loweruterine segment, Divided the the cases in two groups(the study group andthe control group)base on the cases use tourniquet or not.The amount of blood loss during operation of the study group were682.89±468.54ml,andthe amount of blood loss after operation within2hours of the study groupwere1097.18±313.65ml, The amount of blood loss during operation of thecontrol group were1896.04±663.50ml,and the amount of blood lossafter operation within2hours of the control group were2507.58±485.51ml. There was statistical difference (P<0.05).Therewere10cases sent to ICU after operation、no DIC and2cases hadhysterectomy in the study group, there were46cases sent to ICU afteroperation、2cases with DIC and23cases had hysterectomy in the controlgroup. Conclusion:Uterine inertia and placental factor are the main reasonsof PPH, tourniquet is an effective treatments to reduce volumes ofPPH,and is worthy of widely use clinically.
