Compound Southern Star Analgesic Cream As The Clinical Observation For Lumbar Muscle Strain

Objective To evaluate the compound Southern Star analgesiccream treating lumbar muscle strain.Methods Patients with lumbar muscle strain were randomlydivided into2groups. Experimental group was given the compoundSouthern Star analgesic cream for the most painful part oflumbar muscle strain every other day. The control group usedcapsaicin ointment uniformly coated for three times a day.2groups were observed for2courses and recorded before and afterthe treatment of pain.Results The total efficiencies of experimental group andcontrol group were93.3%(56/60),88.9%(48/54),and differencesbetween2groups were not statistically significant (P>0.05).Inthe experimental group before and after treatment VisualAnalogue Scale scores were (5.7±1.3)(0.7±1.5) and in thecontrol group scores were (5.9±0.9)(1.7±2.2).Aftertreatment, Visual Analogue Scale scores of2groups weredecreased, and differences within2groups were statisticallysignificant(P<0.05); Visual Analogue Scale score ofexperimental group was lower than the control group, anddifferences between2groups were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The compound southern star analgesic cream cansignificantly relieve back pain, improve the efficacy andquality of life.
