As one of the most common cancers for wome, the present study attempts to explorethe prognositic factors of cervical cancer; conduct the database of cervical cancer.Thisarticle includes3parts. Part1is to the research progression of prognostic correlated factorsof cervical cancer; Part2is to design and conduct the database of cervical cancer; Part3is toconduct a mathmatics model to predict survival rate for cervical cancer.Part1Research progression of prognostic correlated factors of cervical cancerObjective: Cervical cancer is the second commonest tumor in women globally, second onlyto breast carcinoma in incidence.Similar to other tumors, the carcinogenesis of cervicalcancer is the result of multi-step and multi-gene process. With the widespread of cervicalcancer, great improvements have been made and attention has been paid to itsdevelopment. However, there are also some patients whose therapeutic efficacy is notpromising, the recurrence rate is very high and the five year survival rate is very low. Manycomplex factors are correlated with biological behaviors of cervical cancer and influence theprognosis of patients. This review focuses on clinical pathological factors and molecularbiological parameters correlated with the prognosis of cervical cancer.Part2Design and construct of application database systemObjective: To design and construct database application system for cervical cancer. Methods:BluePrint of the data structure was designed and accomplished based on the resolution ofdata flow of cervical cancer after requirements. Performance test and analysis was carriedout for clinical application. Results: The database and the application including user definedquering utilities were finished and applied to clinic usage. Conclusions: The applicationsystem, which can provide support for clinical real-time decision, will increase the efficiencyof data management of cervical cancer and analysis. It can helpful for clinical dactors andresearchers.Part3Conduction of mathmatics model topredict the survival rate for cervical cancer Objective: To construct a mathmatics model; to predic the survival rate for cervicalcancer. Methods: Between2005and2011, the clinical data of693patients with cervicalcancer, who underwent operation in our hospital were reviewed. To identify the prognosticweight of clinical, and histological factors for cervical cancer, the univariate analysis andmultivariate Cox-regression model were used in this study. Results: Seven progonosticfactors in the Univariate analysis showed that were associated with the survival rate of thepatients with cervical cancer which are tumor sizes; depth of invasion; FIGO stage; tumorhistological grade; cell differentiation; lymph node metastasis and overexpression ofHPVE6\E7; Four of those except for tumor size and depth of invasion, the multivariateregression suggested that were associated with the prognosis of cervical cancer. Conclusion:The math matics model which we established can predicte survival rate of cervical cancerwell and has useful value in clinical therapy for the patients.
