Objective:It is to investigate the hearing impairment condition of type2diabetesmellitus patients and normal hearing impairment, and to discuss the pathogenesis ofdiabetogenous hearing impairment. Methods:105patients with type2diabetes mellitusand50cases in normal control group were detected audiology with pure tone auditorythreshold eudiometry and acoustic admittance eudiometry. They were divided into groupsand compared. Results:The hearing defect detection rate in type2diabetes mellituspatients was49.5%, which was obviously higher than that in control group (10%)(P <0.01), and high frequency auditory threshold was heightened more obviously. The aver ageauditory threshold of diabetes stage>5y patients was higher than that of diabetes stage≤5y patients, the high frequency auditory threshold of hearing defect detection rate washeightened obviously, and there was very significant difference between the both sides (P<0.05). The hearing defect detection rate in accompanied by high blood pressure inpatients with diabetes mellitus was59.5%and was obviously higher than that in Nodiabetes mellitus patients complicated with hypertension (42.9%), the auditory thresholdwas heightened, and there was very significant difference between the both sides.Conclusion:Type2diabetes mellitus can cause auditory system of patients impairment, and the hearing impairment r ate of stage long patients with retinopathy is higher.
