Objective To explore whether occurrence or remission of uncomfortable feeling onepigastrium is related to change of mood, weather, diet and life stress et al.Thehistopathology of verrucous gastritic mucosa is to be observed under optical microscope. The number of CD3+、CD4+and CD8+T lymphocytes in verrucous gastritic mucosa isto be detected respectively and the ultrastructure of verrucous gastritic mucosa is to beobserved under transmission electron microscope. Methods To ask patients whether occurrence of uncomfortable feelings onepigastrium is combined to change of mood, weather, diet and life stress et al.HE stainwas conducted and then histopathology of verrucous gastritic mucosa was observedunder optical microscope.Gastric mucosal CD3+、CD4+、CD8+T lymphocytes in bothverrucous and chronic superficial gastritis were analyzed by immunohistochemistry, ultrastructure of verrucous gastric mucosa was observed by transmission electronmicroscope and14C-urea breath test was used to determine whether patients wereinfected with helicobacter pylori(HP).Results Among the35patients with verrucous gastritis,10showed that the occurrenceor worsen of uncomfortable feelings was related to hot excitant food and drink and10related to raw or cold food, abdominal catching cold and cooler wether and6related toangry, tiredness and work stress. Among the15patients with chronic superficialgastritis,8showed that the occurrence or worsen of uncomfortable feelings was related to hot excitant food and drink and6related to cold food, abdominal catching cold andcooler wether and4related to angry, tiredness and work stress. More plasma cells wereobserved in verrucous gastritic mucosa compared with chronic superficialgastritis.Among the35patients with verrucous gastritis, glandular atrophy was found in14patients with the percentage of40%;atypical hyperplasia was found in8patientswith the percentage of22.9%;intestinal metaplasia was found in13patients with thepercentage of37.1%and formation of lymphoid follicular was found in3patients withthe percentage of8.6%.The number of CD8+T lymphocytes were significantlydecreased and CD4+/CD8+ratio significantly increased in verrucous gastritis ascompared with chronic superficial gastritis (107.703±45.560VS139.120±41.174,P<0.05;1.046±0.322VS0.825±0.277,P<0.05).The number of CD3+、CD4+、CD8+T lymphocytes were significantly increased in verrucous gastritis of HP positiveas compared with HP negative(194.926±68.877VS138.738±42.427,120.905±43.122VS92.400±36.571,123.032±50.751VS89.500±31.032,P<0.05).Structuresof epithelial cells in verrucous gastritic mucosa were destructed to varying degrees andvirosomes were observed in mitochondria. Conclusion The results of this study indicate that the occurrence and remission ofsymptoms like abdominal distension, abdominal pain, belching, acid reflux and heartburnmay be related to mood, weather, diet and work stress.Intestinal metaplasia, atypicalhyperplasia and glandular atrophy are common pathologic changes in verrucousgastritis. Verrucous gastritis may be associated with the immune system dysfunction ofpatients wich may result from both HP and virus infection....
