Syringa reticulata has been used widely for a long history in various regions of China. Its unique scientific value deserves to be explored. S. reticulata clearing the lungs phlegm, cough, anti-inflammatory, anti-asthmatic, diuretic. S. reticulata whole plant can be used as medicine, its leaves, twigs, flowers can be modulated health tea, detoxify, antitussive and expectorant role. The topics in our paper mainly focused on chemical composition. In this research, S. reticulata was extracted by95%MeOH,and then was suspended in water and successively partitioned and extracted with petroleum ether, ethyl acetate and n-butanol. The three extracts were separated by different chromatographic methods. In this paper, the of the ethyl acetate extract of S. reticulata was extracted and isolated with seperation of chinese medicine looking for active compound. Six structures were identified as Sakuranetin(l), Sakuranetin-5-O-β-D-xylopyranoside(2), kaempferol(3),quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(4),diamylphthalate (5),epiafzelechin(6). The experiments carried out on six monomeric compound antioxi-dant activity experiments, and determine their effect on DPPH scavenging. Compounds2and6have a strong antioxidant effect. The study will lay the foundation for research and application of S.reticulate.
