Objective:(1) To understand the survival time of over60years old patients with chronic renal failure;(2) To explore risk factors of the senile chronic renal failure;(3) To provide scientific basis for clinical early diagnosis, early treatment and effective prevention among the elderly patients with chronic renal failure.Methods:1:3matched case-control study was conducted.92cases in elderly patients with chronic renal failure and276cases of the elderly without kidney disease were chosen in TongLiao area followed up each month, observed and treated in hospital every3-6months. Follow-up content included:the time of failure, failure time, the number of hospitalizations, the time of death, stage of failure organ and so on. The ending of follow-up was renal failure(uremia) and death, Follow-up time was10years. Multivariate conditional Logistic regression model was conducted to explore the occurrence of chronic renal failure, inducing factors, disease states and the association.Results:1. The incidence of elderly chronic renal failure was occult, and the median survival time of this study of92cases of renal failure was317days (quartile intervals was14-1046days)2. The association between the occurrence and risk factors (inducing factors) of the elderly chronic renal failure:Four factors entered the model of the risk factors were nutrition intake disorder, infection, electrolyte disorder and hypoalbuminemia. The OR (95%CI) was:11.123(2.907~42.559)、4.317(1.357~13.738)、8.104(1.247~52.675) and11.424(1.007~129.654)3. The association between the occurrence and risk factors (disease states) of the elderly chronic renal failure:Two factors entered the model of the risk factors were poor nutritional status and chronic anemia. The OR(95%CI)was:3.828(1.751~8.547) and24.530(7.722~77.923) Conclusion:1. Infection, electrolyte disorder, hypoalbuminemia and nutrition intake disorder, poor nutritional status, chronic anemia were the risk factors of the elderly chronic renal failure.2. The survival time of senile chronic renal failure with bad nutrition state and chronic anemia was significantly shortened and the death rate increased significantly.3. Infection, electrolyte disorder, hypoalbuminemia and nutrition intake disorder aggravated the deterioration of renal function, increasing the disease progression, accelerating to enter the end-stage, among senile chronic renal failure patients.4. Discovering and treating the primary disease of the elderly chronic renal failure timely, looking for inducing factors actively, eliminating the reversible factors caused kidney function deterioration delayed disease progression of renal failure and prolonged survival time.
