| Objective: To discuss the feasibility, safety and clinical therapeutic effect oflaparoscopic radical surgery for the elder patients with rectal cancer. Methods: A retrospective analysis of88cases clinical data of the elder patientswith rectal cancer in our hospital of gastrointestinal surgery two area. And accordingto the operation were divided into laparoscopic and laparotomy group. The operationtime, the amount of bleeding in operation, number of lymph node dissection, positive margins, postoperative exhaust time, postoperative recovery eating time, extraction of drainage tube time, indwelling catheterization time, postoperativehospital stay and complications were compared between the two groups. Results: Two groups in gender, age, TNM staging, preoperative comorbidities, operation mode were no significant differences. The average operation time oflaparoscopic group compared with laparotomy group (2.4812±0.8549h,2.7102±0.6199h, P>0.05), there were no significant differences. While the laparoscopicbleeding volume in operation less than open group (105±90.6625ml,302.22±215.0530ml, P<0.05).Two groups of postoperative condition comparison, thepostoperative exhaust time, postoperative recovery, eating time, postoperativehospital stay in laparoscopic group were (3.1471±0.9888) d,(3.7353±1.3098) d,(14.8529±7.4351) d, and laparotomy group were (3.9630±2.1888) d,(4.7222±2.6665) d,(18.6852±8.3210) d.There were statistically significant (P<0.05).Nosignificant difference was seen between the two groups on their extraction ofdrainage tube time, indwelling catheterization time and removal of lymph nodevolume.>0.05).There were9(26.4706%) cases of complications in the laparotomygroup,18(33.3333%) cases in the open group. There were no difference betweenthem(P>0.05).While in the two group of poor healing of incision complications compared with statistical significance (P<0.05).Conclusion: Laparoscopic radical surgery of rectal cancer in elderly patients isalso safe and feasible. The laparoscopic technique is more advantageous to theelderly patients with postoperative recovery, and has good application prospect. |
