The north Mountain of Hebei province are in the semiarid area to sub-humidarea, the natural environment is complex, and ecological condition is frail, the waterand soil loss and degeneration of soil are increasingly severe. The forest ecosystems in North Mountain of Hebei Province had an importantrole in the regulation of ecological environment, the forest litter and soil have animportant action in conservation of water and soil. To study the litter and soil in thisarea has important practical significance on the water and soil loss and degenerationof soil. The study object of this paper is3types of forest, We set test standards of3types of forest (coniferous forest, broad-leaved forest, broadleaf-conifer mixed forest)in the study area. Comparison study on the Hydrological effect research of the soiland Litter layer, primary conclusion was obtained as follows:(1)The forest litter accumulation of3types of forest in north mountain of Hebeiin the range of21.34-26.54t/hm2, the order of coniferous forest: coniferous forest>broadleaf-conifer mixed forest>broad-leaved forest; maximum water holding rate of200.89%-287.955%,the order is: broad-leaved forest>broadleaf-conifer mixed forest>coniferous forest;the effective retaining content of litter between43.15-54.61t/hm2,the order is: broadleaf-conifer mixed forest>broad-leaved forest>coniferous forest.Litter water-holding over measurement results show that the water holdingcapacity of litter is increases with the immersion time, during the initial2hoursmaximum water absorption rate, to4hours after the rate of decline slowed down. Thetrend is consistent among forest types, different vegetation types Large differencebetween the water holding capacity. The maximum water holding capacity ofbroadleaved forest is the largest, the maximum water holding capacity of coniferousforest is the smallest.(2)The density range of average soil bulk of3Types of Forests is0.96-1.19g/cm3;their order size: coniferous forest> broadleaf-conifer mixed forest>broad-leavedforest; the range of soil total porosity is49.55-59.31%, the order is opposite comparedwith soil bulk; the order of saturated water capacity:broad-leaved forest>broadleaf-conifer mixed forest>coniferous forest; effective water holding capacityof the size of the order: mixed coniferous and broad-leaved forest coniferous forest.(3) The difference of soil initial permeability of3forest types is larger, its change range is19.75-28.17mm/min, the soil initial infiltration rate and steadyinfiltration rate showed that broadleaf-conifer mixed forest>broad-leaved forest>coniferous forest, coniferous forest. The analysis shows that: the non-capillaryporosity and organic matter content of soil were all most significantly correlated withinfiltration rate.(4)The results of the evaluation of the northern Hebei mountain hydrologicaleffects of forest types, broad-leaved forest hydrological effects of the best mixedconiferous weaker, the worst of the coniferous forest.
