At present, one of the most popular simulation technologies at home and abroadis virtual reality. It is introduced in the application of ship turbine simulator which ishigh efficient, safe, low cost and other characteristics. So,it has been paid attention toin more and more fields and the various countries. And in today’s marine areas,marine turbine simulator has become an important means of training in turbineeducation. In the STCW78/95Treaty, every engineer must pass the turbine simulatortraining. Based on the above reasons, developing turbine simulator appears especiallyimportant. This paper is based on a background of college in the turbine simulatorproject.Compared with the traditional turbine simulator which is semi-physicalsimulation, the turbine simulator which is based on the technology of virtual realityhas the majority of visual in a virtual room. In order to ensure turbine simulatorsystem can not only provide a realistic scene picture, but also an effective means ofinteraction and the accuracy of the simulation process, accurate mathematical modelmust be as a support.Due to the turbine simulator development workload is very big and mathematicalmodel covers content is very wide, which include equipment mathematical model,network mathematical model, control system mathematical model and various controllogic and so on. This article mainly aims at ship power station system of the turbinesimulator. Establish the mathematical model according to the generating set ofelectrical power system and its production process. Operate it in the computer andrealize the power plant simulation. The purpose is that the simulation data is the sameas the data on the prototype and the simulation results consistent with the prototyperunning effect similar.For the application of virtual reality technology of3d modeling power has usedthe texture mapping technology, external reference technology, DOF technology andthe other many kinds of methods. It has got a realistic effect. According to combiningwith mathematic model and3d modeling develop the system successfully in order toshow that the technology in turbine simulator ship power station control is feasible,and the operation is solid, intuitive and can reduce the labor intensity of students’ training, also it can improve the control accuracy and safety.
