Building Comined Cooling Heating and Power(BCCHP) systems are developingfast recently, because of its higher enegry efficienfy, lower emissions than the separatesystems. They can also reduce the electric peak in summer. Traditionally, BCCHPsystems are operated using two strategies: following the electric load and following thethermal load. However, BCCHP systems follwing the two strategies ususlly can’tachieve high efficiency and well economic benefit. Many new constructed BCCHPsystems therefore are operated using folling the basic electric load. This also brings anew question, thus what basic electric load ratio can achieve the optimized result. Thispaper try to use the building hourly load profile and the equipment models to sovle thisproblem.Based on two office buildings in Shanghai, the electric load and gas consumptionof workday are measured respectively. The electric load of the two buildings is alsocalculated by the load factor method. Then the simulation value and the measured valueare compared and analyzed. The main reasons of errors are also analyzed. After theerrors are revised, the load prediction model can finally be used.The commonly used indexes for the BCCHP are analyzed and the comprehensiveevaluated index is raised adopted the primary energy saving ratio and the annual costsaving ratio. The different operation strategies of following the basic electric load arecompared, thus obtaining the optimized basic load respectively. Then sensitivityanalysis of the main factors of the BCCHP is analyzed.Microturbine and absorption chiller models are simulated. Then the models arecombined with the building load in order to do simulation of the BCCHP. The results ofprimary energy saving ratio, primary energy ratio, the unit load ratio are thus analyzed.The sensitivity of main factors which affect the configuration and operation ofBCCHP system is analyzed, and the results show the degree and extent of every factor.Then the power generation efficiency of microturbine and the conversion coefficient ofelectricity from the grid, which affect the primary energy sving ratio are analyzed.
