1. In this paper, we study the coaled carbon-based solid acid catalyst which were prepared by sulfonating ultra-low ash Taixi coal. Coal-SO3H and Coal-H-SO3H catalyst were prepared by liquid phase sulfonation and hydrothermal sulfonation method. They were characterized by IR, XRD, SEM and acid density-tests. The study showed that two catalyst which were prepared by liquidphase sulfonation and hydrothermal sulfonation method have no significantly difference in the topography which is smooth surface; The acid density of the Coal-H-S03H catalyst is1.34mmol/g, while the Coal-S03H catalys is only1.06mmol/g; Both catalysts have a good thermal stability.2. The solid acid catalyst C/G-SO3H was prepared by sulfonating of carbon materials which derived from the glucose and superfine taixi coal powder as the carbon source, and sodium humate as the adhesive through partialbcarbonization. The catalyst have high thermal stability and high mechanical strength. The catalyst were characterized by IR, XRD, SEM and acid density test. It has holes on the surface, acid density value is1.02mmol/g.3. Three kinds of catalyst were used to catalyse fructose dehydration to form5-HMF in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). Reaction time, temperature, catalyst amounts and substrate concentration were investigated respectively, and analysis their catalytic performance on the reaction. The results showed that84.7%,81.6%and81.0%yields of5-HMF achieved using the Coal-H-S03H, Coal-SO3H and C/G-SO3H as catalysts; the catalyst Coal-H-S03H catalyst has a best performance and C/G-SO3H catalyst has a better reusability on this reaction.4. The three-component one-pot synthesis of a-amino phosphonates under solvent-free catalyzed by coaled carbon-based solid acid catalysts.The a-amino phosphonates reaction of benzaldehyde, aniline and diethyl phosphite was examined. The amount of catalyst, reaction temperature were investigated in the model reaction, the optimal reaction conditions of a-amino phosphonates were determined. Under these conditions, the others were prepared by condensation of various aromatic aldehydes with aromatic amines and diethyl phosphite and the yield ranged from58%to87%.
