Accompanying with the development of economic globalizationand the globalization of information, reduced trade barriers of everyindustries, as well as changes of organization development model, virtualenterprise, this new enterprise mode has produced enormous potentialwith its strong vitality in business practice and has become the focusconcerned by current theories and corporate practice. But in the realisticstudy, due to the volatility and complexity of the environment, it isdeficient of studies on mechanism of complexity of virtual enterprises byscholars, which is the weak link of the theory of virtual enterprise and itis also the main problem to be studied by present project.Based on an accurate grasp of concept and connotation of the virtualenterprise, emerging condition and operation mode of virtual enterprisehad been deduced against related problems existed in mode evolutionmechanism of traditional enterprises and organizations. Meanwhile,internal and external environment of virtual enterprises had been analyzedby virtue of introduction of the concept of complexity science in order tofurther complete theoretical derivation of formation of virtual enterprise,and virtual enterprise would be understood as a complex, open and giantsystem according to analysis and appraisal of the system. Furthermore,complexity of virtual enterprise had been discussed in detail, and current relatively popular scientific theory of complexity in the world, mainlyComplex Adaptive System (referred to as CAS) had been referred forcomplexity issues of virtual enterprise. On the basis of theory of ComplexAdaptive System of virtual enterprise, complex analysis had beenperformed through introduction of Agent technology. Complex AdaptiveSystem contains a large number of adaptive subject that can be abstractlyunderstanded as Agent of different types of individuals, and ComplexAdaptive System of virtual enterprise was composed of these differenttypes of Agent collection. And model of Complex Adaptive System ofvirtual enterprise had been built through the interactions of Multi-Agentcollection, that is, database of virtual enterprise and communicationprotocol and corporate action standards accepted by each memers ofAgent had been constructed by employing certain techniques, on the basisof which had resolved problems of information sharing, resourceallocation, distribution and interaction of interest between members ofvirtual enterprise and had explored its significance of enlightenment forenterprises in our country.Virtual enterprise, this emerging organizational model for enterpriseshad been analyzed by means of utilizing the perspective of complexityscience, from which advantageous reference can be obtained for thereform of enterprises, especially for the reform of state-owned enterprises.In the background of increasingly fierce international competition, the vitality of enterprises will be maintained and the core competitiveness ofenterprises will be increased.
