In recent years, the business of international contracting project of China is developinggreatly, which achieved continuous expansion in business scale, broad coverage in manycountries, continuous extension in different fields, steadily enlarge level of projects, strongcapability for big contracting company. Chinese contractors play more important roles in theinternational engineering contracting market. International project contracting becomes animportant mode to implement China’s strategy of "going out".Many Chinese companies are participating in international contracting projects, butthey have not enough experience and capability in the field of engineering management.Chinese companies should improve engineering quality, accelerate engineering process andreduce engineering cost by means of control of quality, process and cost, and achieve thepurpose of more efficient project management and stronger competitive capacity. Becausecompetition is increasing in international contracting market, Chinese contracting companieshave to enhance own capability and use a large number of advanced management knowledgein the management practice of quality, process and cost. Chinese contracting companies willbe bigger and stronger.The thesis firstly introduces the research background, research significance, researchcontent and research means. Secondly, the thesis introduces related theory basis, includingcharacteristics of international contracting project, brief of Chinese overseas contractingproject development, three core factors for project management: quality, process and cost,and mutual relation among them. Thirdly, the thesis introduces type of internationalcontracting project management mode and existing international contracting projectmanagement mode of Chinese companies, analyzes main problems in the field ofinternational contracting project management of Chinese companies and related causedreasons based on some failing cases. Fourthly, the thesis gives some measures for optimizingmanagement mode of international contracting project for Chinese companies. Thesemeasures will improve management of quality, process and cost, reduce risks and achieveanticipating goal. Then, aiming at existing problems, the thesis gives some solutions abouthow to improve management level of international contracting project for Chinesecompanies. At last, there is summary and prospect.
