The process of urbanization is being accelerated visibly at the present stage. Fast development of urbanization leads to the unreasonable urban land recourses allocation and the contradiction between urban land use supply and demand. How to use urban land reasonably has to be settled urgently on the condition of urban land resources shortage and urban sprawl obstructed. Being resource-saving and environment-friendly society reform test area gave a chance for changsha-zhuzhou-xiangtan urban land use in2007. To guarantee urban land Sustainable Utilization, we should use present land resources intensively and efficiently, taping latent potentialities for urban land use, improving land use efficiency, on the basis of researching urban land use potential theory, we analyze urban land use status and factors influencing land use potentialities in changsha-zhuzhou-xiangtan, evaluate land use potentialities, put forward measures of tapping potential.The main conclusions:(1) Set up land use potentiality evaluation index system on three levels: land use constrained conditions, land use degree and land use trend.(2) The correlation between urbanization level and urban land area was typical positive.(Correlation coefficient is0.744, p<0.01)(3) According to land use potentialities, we divide changsha-zhuzhou-xiangtan towns into three levels, that is Changsha city; ningxiang xian, xiangtan city, yanling xian, shaoshan city, zhuzhou city, wangcheng xian, xiangtan xian; you xian, liling city, chaling xian, xiangxiang city.(4) The land use potentialities characteristics of changsha-zhuzhou-xiangtan are:the level is high on the whole; the difference is great among areas;(5) Among the facts that influencing changsha-zhuzhou-xiangtan urban land use potentialities the effect of land increase elasticity coefficient index is the greatest and the ecological environment index is smallest;...
