Abnormal Events Environment Monitoring Based On Embedded Platform

With the progress of science and technology as well as the development of informationindustry, people have higher expectations for the environment security, city security and familysecurity. To protect state’s property and people’s life safety, our country had presented theconcept of "safe city" in September2005, and had launched the construction of alarmming andmonitoring system both in city and country.In recent years, natural disasters such as5·12Wenchuan Earthquake, mudslides inZhouqu of Gansu Province and the heavy rainfall in Beijing occurred frequently in our country.These abnormal changes of environment brought serious loss to people’s production and life.By using modern, intelligent security monitoring technology, it has become one of the hot fieldsof scientific research nowadays to monitor the abnormal change of environment promptly andaccurately.Based on these requirements, this article designed an abnormal environment monitoringsystem, whose operating system is embedded linux2.6and hardware is processor ARM9ofSamsung. The system considers the laboratory as monitoring environment. When abnormalevents (such as foreign staff’s entering, lab staff’s moving, etc.) occur, it will capture images andalert. This article,referring to research results at home and abroad, mainly focused on thefollowing work：1、combined with relevant information, it has designed an embedded linux intelligentmonitoring system based on ARM9.Then detailedly demonstrated the choice of hardware andthe construction, transplantion of software platform respectively.2、it has designed acquisition module and video transmission module.3、it has designed and completed the abnormal environment monitoring system. That is,the system will capture images and alert by activiting the MP3player when there is movingimage in the monitoring area.4、Put forward the target tracking algorithm based on trajectory prediction and Mean ShiftExaminations show that the feature of this system is instantaneity、stable operation、richfunction, so it have a certain reference value for the development of abnormal environmentmonitoring system based on linux embedded platform.
