Magnetic coupling is composed of three parts, including copper rotor permanent magnet rotor, and the controller。There is an air space between the rotor permanent magnet rotor and copper rotor, and there is not transferring torque of mechanical connection。Motor and working machine form the magnetic connection, by changing the air gap to achieve the change of speed and torque load. Magnetic coupling transmission technology breaks through the traditional contact, put forward a new non-contact transmission technology. Magnetic coupler reduces mechanical vibration, reduces motor starting current and working current、prolong the service life of equipment, etc.Magnetic coupler is based on the basic theory of modern magnetism, applied magnetic fields produced by permanent magnet and conductor of the induced magnetic field interact with each other, realize the physical contact or torque heritability of new technology. Magnetic coupling can reduce mechanical vibration, save energy and lengthen the service life of the equipment and some other advantages. In the century of90s, American has been carried out for eddy current type of permanent magnet drive technology, realized the revolutionary breakthrough.In1999successfully developed high efficiency of the vortex type magnetic coupler. Magnetic pump is different, the eddy current type of permanent magnetic coupler doesn’t solve the problem of seal, which is mainly used to solve problems such as axis, soft start, speed test, etc.Although already on the eddy current type of permanent magnetic coupler have many theoretical research and analysis, but the difference between theoretical calculation and experimental results is large, can’t meet the demand of engineering, especially the theory of fixed parameters lacking the support of the test data. Designed test platform to test the characteristic of magnetic coupling, the purpose is to design, manufacture and assembly process of magnetic coupling, the analysis and calculation for the necessary test support data.Magnetic drive research status at home and abroad are analyzed in this paper, the theoretical research and application of magnetic coupling research were summarized. According to the manufacture of magnetic coupler and the performance analysis of the magnetic coupling characteristic test platform is designed. According to test requirements set up a test platform of hardware system, the experiment platform system structure is given. Based on Labview virtual instrument development platform is to design the software test platform, and compiled the test software of test platform, and debugging success. The article also on magnetic coupling energy transferring relationship is analyzed in theory, presenting analysis method to calculate magnetic coupling magnetic torque.
