The Research Of Invoicing System Based On B/S Structure In Small Chain-Supermarkets

With the development of our society and economy in China in the21st century,there are more and more small chain-supermarkets in our life. Instead of thetraditional groceries, the small chain-supermarkets are developing into a mostimportant part of the retail business.With the development of information technology, the management, workingefficiency, cost control and competitiveness of an enterprise will depend on the degreeof its informationization. The traditional method to collect information aboutcommodities is not only labor-wasting but also less efficient due in that a largenumber of commodity categories and frequently changed prices. In the management,the small chain-supermarkets will process a large amount of data on purchasing,stocking and sales. So the traditional manual method is apt to make mistakes that willresult in the loss. To solve these problems, the invoicing system is introduced toincrease the working efficiency of the small chain-supermarkets.Limited by the investment on informationization, there is a great insufficiencyespecially compared with the large supermarkets. As the core business in asupermarket, the degree of informationization of the invoicing system stands for thelevel of informationization of the supermarket. In the past, most invoicing systems ofsmall chain-supermarkets are developed based on C/S structure. Thus, there are suchproblems as long developing cycle, and high cost of employment and maintenance.So, to develop a new invoicing system with low maintenance cost and highcompetence of management is a key step on the way of informationization to all thesmall chain-supermarkets.The system uses the database of SQL sever2005, which is supported by allversions of Windows Operating System. Using Java and ASP, the invoicing system isdesigned based on B/S structure. Based on the features of Java and the application andconfiguration of Tomcat5.0, the system designs well-designed Web applications ofMVC architecture and develops effective Web applications using Java middleware.The thesis includes the following parts:Firstly, it introduces the origin of information system and the international anddomestic development of invoicing system. It also points out the existing problems ofthe popular invoicing systems and the meanings of the research on invoicing systemsbased on B/S structure in small chain-supermarkets.Secondly, it introduces the related researches which include the introduction ofB/S structure, the advantages of B/S structure, the differences between B/S structure and C/S structure and the introduction of Database2005and ASP technology.Thirdly, it focuses on the analysis and the brief design of the system whichincludes the feasibility analysis on the basis of technology, economy and operation.The system will be divided into6modules according to their functions, each of whichwill be introduced in details. It also classifies the user rights, paints the case diagramand designs the framework of the data sheet.Finally, it includes the design of the system in details and the realization of thesystem functions. It introduces detailed design of the system functions, the interfaceand the realization of codes on database layer.The scheduled design purposes are basically reached by systematical analysis,design and realization. It can provides a well-functioned invoicing system with lowmaintenance costs which is easy to use and to expand.
