Traditional color reproduction technologies cannot achieve the faithful reproduction of the object color, and it is unable to eliminate the phenomenon of metamerism. In order to make the color of the samples consistent in different view conditions, spectral color management techniques emerged.This paper made a detailed study of spectral reflectance reconstruction technology, design and implement the Spectral Color Management System (SCMS). First of all, to solve the acquisition of multispectral image data problem, a virtual multi-channel spectral imaging system is designed, it based on the known camera related parameters and the environment information, to estimate the camera digital count. Secondly, the spectral reconstruction technologies are researched to reach the goal of removing the information of observation condition and the camera characteristic from the input spectral images and reconstructing the spectral reflectance of the source scenes. To solve this problem, the Matrix R method is proposed, which is proved by experiment that has a good accuracy. Thirdly, a detailed description is made to Spectral Color Management System, and a implementation processe is proposed. Finally, according to the implementation of the spectral image dimension reduction module, a method based on the LabPQR Interim Connection Space (ICS) is proposed. Two method, look-up table method and YNSN spectral model method, are proposed to implement the spectral color calibration module.
