With the development of multimedia information technology, more and morepeople begin to concern the Digital Copyright Protection while they are enjoying thefun of the digital technology. As people raise their awareness of digital contentcopyright protection which contains huge potential commercial value, the DigitalWatermarking technology has grown rapidly in the past ten years or so. Video DigitalWatermarking becomes a hotspot in the digital watermarking field.This research will archive a software system which embeds and extracts the videowatermarking in compression domain. The system can embed multimedia informationlike picots or words to a video file, the video file which is embedded a watermark canstill play normally and the visual effect is almost the same with before. Using thissystem can embed the copyright protection information like author’s picture or name sothat it can achieve the purpose of copyright protection.This system is based on the one of the very popular MPEG-4encoder—XVID,in time of encoding,we encoded the watermark to binary bit stream, according to theLSB algorithm, we embedded the watermark to DCT, in the time of decoding, wedecoded the DCT first, and according to the LSB algorithm, we extracted the watermarkfrom the DCT.This system ensures the imperceptibility of the watermark, the experiment resultshows that this system in embedding capacity and Imperceptibility have goodperformance. Because the system design only modified DCT coefficients, so this systemability against the attack is weak, the system needs to be further improved.
