TV talk show, composed of the hosts, guests and audiences, is a sort of program inwhich conversations are made around the topics of the live and TV audiences’ concernand interest. It enjoys great popularity due to fulfilling the sense of reality pursued bywide audiences, the desire to communicate and the mental state to peep at others.At present, TV talk show develops in the era of Media Convergence. The reform ofsuch external elements, especially the accelerated development of network media, bringsnew problems to TV talk show. Till now, the TV media professionals have found out theexistence of internal problems. In the meanwhile, they also confront the competitionfrom other programs and the new media. To make a brighter future for TV talk show, onthe one side it is necessary to improve its own production level and train some star hostsof character and profound thinking. On the other side, it is important to realize thetwo-sidedness that the development of the network media creates for TV talk show.What’s more, it has to adapt the Media Convergence environment, find the opportunityof the integration between the network media and TV talk show and take the advantageof the network media’s globality, interactivity, high speed, hypertexts and individuationand so on. On the basis of its own superiority, it should make good use of the feature ofnetwork media and net recourse to enhance its influence, strengthen the interactionbetween talk show and audiences, appeal to the audiences and promote the audiences’loyalty to the program.
