Wireless interphone, an important offset in mobile communication, is appliedwidely. Wireless interphone would be used in the future because it differs with otherwireless communication devices on market orientation and they can’t substitute eachother. Along with the rapid development of digital communication, digital duplexhandset development is also accelerated ceaselessly. But the high price limits itswidespread use. So low cost digital duplex handset R&D will become the mostimportant stage in the development process.Based on frequency division duplex mode (FDD), combined with the existingwireless communication technology, computer technology and voice coding technology,this paper studies and discusses the digital duplex interphone system and the overallstructure. Then the element models such as microprocessor, voice encode\decode chipand RF chip are chosen. Hardware of digital interphone is designed according to systemdemand, and software of this system is designed then. In the end, program isdownloaded into hardware, system is debugged, and the result of experimentation isanalyzed.The FDD digital interphone researched in this thesis can provide another plan forthe Trunked communication system and cordless phone system. Moreover, if taking lowcost and low power as a starting point, the system, whose function has been perfected, iswieldy used, reliable, and is good enough to satisfy demand on daily telephoneconversation, the system also may be applied in more areas.
