With the fast development of technology in the recent decades,traditional class teachingmodel can no longer meet the desire of students in attaining knowledge. This old teachingmodel limits youngster’s pioneering thinking to some extent, makes students’ thinking justfollows teachers’, leads to almost the same learning model among students, and restricts theirown initiatives. In addition, boring learning environment with limited infrastructures andfixed teaching model and contents cause students to lose their interest and motivation todiscover knowledge.Teaching education institutions all over the world are trying to take advantage of themost advanced technology such as multimedia technology and internet technology toestablish a new teaching model in order to solve the problems of sole infrastructures andlimited learning contents by using the traditional model, arouse the learning interest ofstudents, and cultivate the students’ capability of independent learning and thinking. However,for curriculum such as Movie History with loose knowledge structure, abundant contents, andwide knowledge range, multimedia and internet technology still can not meet the needs of both teachers and students for teaching and gaining new insights through reviewing oldmaterials.This article designs and develops an open and interactive teaching system based onvirtual reality, and achieve the goals by raising a teaching curriculum sample of MovieHistory. Online and three dimensional exhibit capacity and interacting operation environmentin VR technology provide a new method to improve current class theoretical teaching model.This model with visual teaching materials and relaxed learning method arouses the initiativesof students. Students can find their interest point to expand knowledge step by step and feelhappy through online interacting curriculum space.The main contents of the paper and the research results are mainly includes1. Be completed basic to3D virtual scene and interaction of film history teaching systemdesign. This paper described the education system by comparing and analyzingpre-developed educational VR applications being used recently at home and abroad.Based on the evaluations of the advantages and disadvantages of these pre-developedapplications, the VR in teaching movie history program is reasonably structured anddeveloped. Its structure consists of the theoretical basis, curriculum contents,technological architecture of the system, proposals about the scene and exhibitionrooms, plans of interaction.2. Basic to the overall design, this education system is established and implementedthrough the progress that is to set up a technological architecture embodying the coreof theoretical bases. The concept and characteristics of teaching system and show thesuperiority of the game type teaching mode., accompanied with selected contents ofcurriculum. Technological implemented interactive realization to using Maya to buildup3D scenes and using Unity3D game system engine.3. The system was applied to test. This education system is mainly completed by usingUnity3D technology. The application is operated on trial in the school library afterbeing inspected by university teachers who are teaching movie history. Throughquestionnaires from users, it verified that majority of the users felt the application iseffective in terms of initiative, interactivity and convenience. However the operationspeeds of this system yet to be enhanced.
