Research On Simulation Of Government Response To Public Crisis Information Diffusion On The Internet

As the manager of the public crisis, the government should control and manage thediffusion of the public crisis information in the network, which can solve the public crisiseffectively. By using the simulation technology, the author studies how the governmentresponse to the diffusion of the public crisis information in the network environment and triesto find out the main factors that affect the government response on the diffusion of publiccrisis information in the network environment. The author hopes that the research on this fieldcan provide scientific basis for government managers.First of all, this paper introduces the status of government response on diffusion of publiccrisis information in the network environment from six aspects. The six aspects mainlyinclude the communication between Internet users and government, the construction ofgovernment networks politics, the transparency of government public crisis information, etc.In the second chapter, the paper analyzes the factors that affect government response on thediffusion of public crisis information in the network environment, including credibility of thegovernment, transparency of information and government guidance etc. Combining with themethods of multi-agent simulation and finite trust theory, a simulation model on governmentresponse on the diffusion of the public crisis information in the network environment is builtbased on the analyses of the above factors.The simulation model includes model assumptions,main bodies’ category, interactions rules of main bodies etc. With the help of simulationplatform Netlogo, we enter the initial data of "Rob salt events", simulate this event andanalyze the result of the simulation. Finally, according to the simulation results, someproposals are put forward on how to improve government response on public crisisinformation diffusion in the network environment.The research on government response to diffusion of public crisis information in thenetwork environment provides government managers strategies to improve the efficiency ofsolving public crisis. Besides, this paper could provide some practical value for enhancingpublic crisis management ability.
