Improved navigation system propose higher requirements for the reliability of integratednavigation display control device, which can prevent the condition that navigation data cannotsystematically transmit out caused by the fault of the device. Based on the dual hot standbytechnology, this project improved the reliability of the integrated navigation display controldevice and can satisfy the practical needs.Dual hot standby technique is one type of fault-tolerant technique. It uses the samehardware structure for double engine with synchronous working of back-up module and mainmodule, and can be prepared to replace the main module. Based on the analysis of the existingfault-tolerant technique, this project proposes the dual hot standby system, and summarizesthe requirement for redundancy management system to independently develop the applicationsoftware. Simultaneously, we analyze the interface function of the redundancy managementsystem and provide three general structures for their implementation to the applicationsoftware systems.The advantages of the dual parallel system are easier to discover faults through dual systemand fault-tolerant to the software faults through N-edition technological development. Thedual parallel hybrid software structure has the minimum change to the existing softwarestructure. Even if the dual systems had the same software structure, they can form the dual hotstandby system. This strategy reduced the impact caused by the incipient fault taken by newedition which is not systemic tested. This project adopted the dual parallel hybrid hot standbystructure in the final implement.This project can be reused aimed at the same type of dual hot standby system, and can beexpanded based on the demand of specific project development to allow a wider range ofapplications. In addition, this project considers the platform generality when design theredundancy management system, all the hardware environments with VxWorks embeddedreal time operating system and reflective memory card can be used. If the version of reflectivememory card is different with designed, just modify the hardware driver is need to be used.In conclusion, this project detailed analysis some general principles in the applicationsoftware development process with redundancy management system. Based on thesimplification of the existing integrated navigation display control system, we design the dualhot standby integrated navigation display control system which has the same generalcharacters with the existing device, and can be used as a reference to the practical devicedevelopment.Finally, we test the performance of the implementation of our dual hot standby integratednavigation display control system. The double engine performance is same with thestand-alone system. When there is fault of stand-alone module, this device can discover and shield the fault in a cycle of operation, and can significantly improve the reliability of displaycontrol system.
