The paper is a part of "Log Diameter Class Video Identification and Import of Digital Log Scaling Technology" which is supported by the fund of "948" project of State Forestry Administration; it mainly completes the design and implementation of backstage database.In the traditional timber warehousing management processes from stock-in to stock-out are manual input. In this way, not only waste human resources, need long working time, but also easy to make mistakes and have the low efficiency. Moreover it slows the transmission of information, so information and problems in production can not be timely, accurately feedback to managers, and then influence enterprise management decision and enterprise development.Radio frequency identification (RFID) automatically and non-contact recognizes target through radio frequency signal and obtains the relevant data, it can work in a variety of harsh environment. RFID can identify multiple stationary or high-speed movement objects in the same time, so it is very convenient. Using RFID technology in the timber management can reduce inspection time the timber stock-in and sorting time timber stock-out, improve work and inventory items efficiency, achieve the fast inquiry.The work of this paper is as follows. Firstly, this paper introduced the traditional timber management system and its existing defect, and then proposed a present timber management system based on the RFID after comparatively analyzing the advantages and disadvantages between RFID tag and bar code. Secondly, analyzed the security risks and needs of RFID technology and related RFID security authentication protocol, proposed a RFID security authentication protocol based on ID changes combined with key array; introduced the data mining applying to the timber price prediction and established a timber price forecasting neural network model. At the end of this paper developed a timber management information system which based on radio frequency identification technology, and then emphatically introduced the part of automation stock-in to stock-out of the inventory management.This paper mainly studied the relevant key technology on using RFID technology in present timber management application. This paper using the RFID technology developed a timber management system based on radio frequency identification technology which improved the timber management level. This system can realize automation, informationization and intelligentization in the timber delivery and inventory and can improve the accuracy rate of timber storage process.
