The television dating show about love and marriage in China mainly goes through such three stages as the programs "very men and women,""Dating with a Red Rose," and "You Are the One", showing its salient features as more accessible content, diversified form and fusion.The determinant factor for dating show’s rise and fall is whether it is able to meet the audience from the fundamental diversity and multi-level needs, that is, whether it can help solve the doubts of marriage for audiences, whether it can assist them to establish the correct concept of marriage, and whether it can help those unmarried men and women find a real life partner, and give a fundamental solution to the "left men and left women" issue (the so called "left men and left women" are those who have reached the appropriate age for marriage but still remain single).The romantic television dating show with the youth’s love and marriage values exist interactions.What the dating show reflects about the values of contemporary youth shows a strong independent sense of self-mating, pragmatic and utilitarian concept of marriage, increasingly open stereotypes of chastity, both traditional and tolerant attitude toward divorce and extramarital love outside marriage, a overturn of the six-positioning of traditional male and female and a characteristic of easy-come-easy-go. However the values of love and marriage of the contemporary youth showed in this program also have many impacts on these young people. The show has made it a reasonable way for the public to bear some label and standard when choosing the spouse, and not to regard love as a primary factor in marriage selection. Therefore, the media and practitioners need to rebuild the principle based on social responsibility; government departments and the community need to strengthen the supervision and management of the media; the audience need to reshape the "Love Faith", a healthy and harmonious concept of love and marriage, aiming to help contemporary young people to build a harmonious concept of dating and marriage.
