Battery power is the key part of electric vehicles. The traditional lead-acid batteriesand nickel metal hydride batteries have been replaced by lithium-ion battery.Lithium-ionbattery become the main direction of the development of power battery. With more electricvehicles are nood in market, lithium-ion battery has become the research focus of today’spower battery. It makes the whole lithium equipment industry develop more fast.In domestic, lithium equipment industry started late, The products are baded than theforeign products. The cutting machine is one of the important equipments for lithium. Theeffect of the traditional cutting machine is not well, the problem of "glitch" is obvious.Laser cutting has the feature of narrow cutting traces, the quality of the cutting surfaceand cutting efficiency, less mechanical stress, noise pollution.In this paper, we combinatelaser cutting technology and embedded technologies to research laser cutting machine. Thelaser is applicated in the manufacturing process of the batteries.This article first analyzes the functional requirements of the laser slicer system, theoverall design of the laser slicer. RTAI build real-time Linux operating system, the systemdivided thourght hierarchical, modular ideological, real-time control system based on theintroduction of the hardware abstraction layer mechanisms, each module in the form of asoftware component package. This paper descripts the development of human-machineinterface module, the task management module, database module, motion control module,as well as soft PLC module functions. Hardware platform of the laser slicer system based onPC104and FPGA,and then describes the circuit design of the pulse generator, encoder,lasers and other hardware modules. Finally, the practical application of the effect of laserslicer and the current problems.
