Nowadays, tremendous changes have happened to the media that people use and the media environment that people live in, and every progress of media can exert profound impact of human living environment as well as their communication styles. Microblog has provided great convenience for interpersonal communication, and it has has functions of releasing, forwarding, following, commenting and so on, and its spreading content has characteristics of fragmentation and diversity. The communication characteristics of immediacy and interactivity, fission and back-to-face enable users to establish their interpersonal relationship networks by following each other’s microblog. Microblog is a platform that integrates interpersonal communication, organizational communication, and mass communication, which allows the quick dissemination of information via interpersonal circles. It extends the interpersonal relationships of microblog users, and it is conducive to personal self-presentation and expression.Interpersonal relationships is one of the important factors in human survival and developments, and one of the most basic social needs of human beings. Based on the summary of the development and communication characteristics of microblog, this paper adopts questionnaire method to study the impacts of microblog communication on interpersonal relationships, mainly from perspectives of self-disclosure, and self-concept The study gains basic understandings of the use status of microblog, such as use time, and use level, etc.. Further analysis come to conclusions that the microblog communication has a positive correlation with self-disclosure, self-evaluation and cultural acquisition, and negative correlation with social comparison. A certain "silence" relationship is present in microblog. In addition, the use of microblog can largely expand the user’s relationships in real life.
