Research On The Information Service Of China’s Mobile Phone Library

Internet has changed people’s traditional life, study and work. At the same time, the development of3G technology is making the wired and wireless Internet more intimate. Reading on mobile phone, mobile phone TV, mobile phone shopping is becoming a trend. As a function of the digital library extension, the mobile phone library is also booming.Europe and the United States, Japan and other developed countries as early as2000started mobile phone library practice,and have established a considerable number of mobile phone library. Service content is more interactive, personalized and mobile phone client mode is overtaking the SMS and WAP model. China’s mobile phone library practice started late, in which the service content is thin and the service mode is SMS or WAP websites. So the information service of our mobile phone library was studied and the existing problems were found. Thereby facilitating mobile phone library service promotion, it is very necessary.The basic thongts of this article is as follows, first the article uses the journal database of Anhui university library and web search engine to collect related information then to establish databases; second the article uses the library web sites and search engine for website access to the university library and public library which have opened the service of the mobile phone library, and the article uses the questionnaire to invest the Hefei academic university which have not the information service of the mobile phone library; finally the collected statistical data is analysis and the analysis results are plotted on a chart. According to the results of data analysis, the article finds out the questions existed in the information service of the mobile phone library in our country and gives the countermeasure.The article consists of six chapters:the first chapter elaborates the research background, purpose, research method, content and summarizes the domestic and foreign research theory and practice status; the second chapter introduces the service characteristics of the mobile phone library, the service content and other relevant theoretical knowledge, discusses four patterns of the mobile phone library; the third chapter introduces the survey findings of the information service of Chinese mobile phone library including the service content, mode, fees and so on by the internet survey, then the results of the readers about the service content by the paper questionnaire, demand mode. At the same time, the article uses the statistical software to analysis the survey data and the output results are plotted on a chart; the fourth chapter proposed that the information service content of our country’s mobile phone library is onefold, the function is simple, the standard fee is vary and the readers’knowledge of the mobile phone library is inadequacy; the fifth chapter gives the countermeasure including expand propaganda, reduce tariff and strengthen cooperation; the sixth chapter draws the conclusion of the research, and summarize the limitation of research and the further work.
