The Course Data Analysis Based On The Distance Education System

In recent years, with the rapid development of the Internet, distance education has become the mainstream of modern educational technology. But there are some problems with distance education, such as only a single teaching mode, teaching resources simple accumulated and low intelligence. The curriculum is single put to the web. The course data which are remaining left in the database and the massive useful information which is behind the course data are not got a full role. These data contain valuable information such as influence of various factors of students’ selecting courses, the interaction of students’ selecting courses.Data mining technology has been widely used and practiced in areas such as finance, e-commerce. The main advantage is reflected in the analysis and application of a large amount of data. But in the field of education, data mining technology and practice are not very thorough. By studying and comparing the association rule of data mining, this article uses association rules to do selective data mining. After analyzing the characteristics of distance education course selection data, we present the improved algorithm Apriori which is based on the characteristics of course selecting data. The data course was mapped to a bitmap table, it didn’t scan the database twice when generating the frequent itemsets, improving the performance of algorithm and bring benefit to multidimensional association rule mining.At the basis of the study above, the elective data mining system is designed and developed. On the basis of single dimensional association rule mining, we also do multidimensional association rule mining. We extract useful information from it and find the correlation between the properties of students and course selection from the mass of the selection data. We also find the law of students’selecting courses,The expected purpose of the design is also achieved. This data mining system also provides guidance for the student selecting courses and teachers setting curriculum in the distance education system.At the end of the article, the work on this subject is concluded.
