Research On Network Medium And Construction Of College Students’ Interpersonal Relationship

The Internet has imposed an unprecedented impact on the world ever since it had been invented. Thenetwork technology has been developed rapidly especially in the21stcentury, thus affecting the real societyin various aspects. Subsequently, it gave birth to an interpersonal communication method under virtualnetwork environment Network interpersonal communication, which is also known as network interpersonalinteraction, breaks the constraints of time in the traditional interpersonal communication. Many features,such as rich web content, unlimited network environment, quickness, concealment of the identity ofnetwork users, sharing of network resources and the re-shaping function, combined together to provide anexcellent platform for the college students who are physically and mentally sensitive, and this promptedcollege students to become a large group of network users. The characteristics of network environmentmakes the college students have a different communicative competence characteristics, which are quitedifferent from the other groups, furthermore these features has a critical effect on the real life of collegestudents as well as their interpersonal communication method, which change their life and interpersonalcommunication style. Above all, the network environment plays a direct role in changing the collegestudents’ communication method.This paper starts from the formation process and characteristics of college students’ interpersonalcommunication under Internet environment, and it analyzed the behavior, methods, main target,psychological motivations of college students’ interpersonal exchange, as well as the features of networkcommunication environment. In addition, this paper also analyzed the effects of the network media towardsthe college students, mainly from the perspective of virtual, openness, equality and anonymity. Finally, thispaper came up with some constructive comments on college students’ network interpersonal exchange.For college students, there are both advantages and disadvantages in the interpersonal exchangesunder network environment: in terms of the positive sense, the students’ involvement in network at theinformation age promotes the construction of university students’ interpersonal exchange system, thuslaying a solid foundation for their social interaction. In terms of the negative sense, the network may have abad effect on the development of college students. Only by analyzing all the effects in comprehensive and deep way can the network medium give full play to the development of college students. Virtual networkenvironment is a double-edged sword for the college students’ interpersonal exchange, only by leading thecollege students make a full, comprehensive, multi-angle understanding of this interaction environment,guiding the college students to use it effectively as well as understanding its drawbacks, can we achieve thegoal of constructing a healthy network exchange environment for the college students, which plays animportant role in improving university students’ socialization.
