On The Effect Of Mass Communication On The Ideological And Political Education Of Undergraduates

Mass communication refer to the tool of transinformation during the process ofcommunication, they are the utterance system of signs, as well as a kind of special textsystem, they transfer the values, emotion, introspection and intention of the utterancesubject by means of characters, image, sound and plots. Mass communication includeprinted communication and electronic communication, the former consists of newspapers,magazines and books, and the latter consists of broadcast, television, movie，video andcomputer network communication satellite which has grown up recently. With the timesmass communication has developed greatly, nowadays they nearly overspread the wholecountry, and thus become the main approach for undergraduates to obtain information andsocial survival resources. From the aspect of speech rights, mass communication are givers, thoughthe audiences are diverse, they can only be the patients, even if they partly have the optionwhile holding the remote-controller or the mouse, in general, they only have one choice,that is, to receive the system of signs from the communication.The development of ideological and political education of undergraduates is theobjective requirement proposed by modern society and human development, as well as thedirection of modern social development and human development.Bearing the heavy responsibility of modern social development and humandevelopment, the ideological and political education of undergraduates must change from theaspects of content, method, idea, etc. and build a new value which meets the tendency ofhistorical development. This new value is the highly unity of individual value and socialvalue. On the premise of social development being satisfied, the individual developmentshould have enough space. So that social value and undergraduates’ individual value canget a mutual promotion. On the aspect of education content, we should pay attention to thecombination of implanting the order of social moral, improving capability and cultivatingindividuality. In order that undergraduates’ capability and individuality could be improved,they can get a comprehensive and healthy development. On the aspect of education idea, we should know the growing background and the situation around, so that we can achieveadvancing with the times, education oriented and moral education first. On the aspect ofeducation method, we should not only establish the leading role of educators, but also buildthe idea of educated-centered, from this way a full interaction of educators and educates canbe achieved. Ideological and political education should not only give full play to the role ofeducators, but also make great efforts to arouse undergraduates’ initiative and enthusiasm.
