In the year2009, Hubei Province launched a new curriculum reform, which will face a test in2012.In order to trace the effects achieved in the implementation process and the problems in the history teaching of Qingshan District, I as well as some of the history teachers of Qingshan District conducted a comprehensive investigation on the situation of learning of the students from four senior middle schools in this district.The survey took the form of questionnaires and individual interviews.1,400students from these four schools were involved in on-line questionnaire or paper-based questionnaire,which enabled us to obtain calibration data. This survey mainly covers eight aspects as follows:the learning attitude, history textbooks, extra-curricular knowledge, the history classes, cooperative learning, history homework, academic evaluation, capability of using history. Through analyzing the data, we can have a good knowledge of the basic learning situation of the students in Qingshan District, and we can find out the problems. Some of my views are put forward in the hope of providing some reference to the teaching of history and the new curriculum reform in order to help smooth the progress of the new curriculum reform of the history teaching in this district.This report mainly consists of three parts:the introduction, body and conclusion. The body of the report is divided into three chapters.The first chapter, the investigation and problems of students’history learning in Qingshan District; Second chapter, the analysis on the causes of the current history teaching situation; Third chapter, the suggestions on the history teaching in this district.
