Cough is common in clinical,on the couse and syndrome of cough, ancient physicians have depth studied. Cough can be seen a variety of other symptoms in the same time. Cough accompanied with the back cold syndrome was common in clinical, reports in the literature was few. The back cold syndrome meanschilly sensation in the back. On the back cold syndrome, ancient physicians thought that the main causesof it were: drink evil, phlegm, Yang deficiency, exogenous evil, ecchymosis, and gangrene sign. Its pathogenesis can probablybe divided into two categories:deficiency of yang, including the spleen yang deficiency, kidney yang deficiency and yang deficiency of spleen and kidney; another is the various internal and external evil leading to loss of distribution of yang. At the same time, There is also deficiency of lung, which is the antithesis of lung yin. Lung yang is the part of Lung qi whicn has the function of warm, diffusion, push, stimulate. Pathogenesis of lung Yang deficiency is mainly formed by endogenous and exogenous factors. theendogenous factors are the pathogenic coldinvading lung and eating cold things, while the exogenous factorsare deficiency of Spleen Yang, sick mother infects the child and kidney Yangdeficiency for a long time thatinfects lung. The clinical manifestations are:cough and asthma without strength, coughand spit saliva, the amount of which is very much and texture is light, white face, cold limbs, spontaneous perspiration susceptible, cold back such as palm, mental fatigue with less gas, low timid voice, shortness of breath, weak breathing, not thirsty, tongue pale and big, moss white and smooth, slow pulse. The treatment is to warm the lung and scatter cold. In practice, the modern doctor do not only recognize that the lung Yang deficiency can cause back cold syndrome, also found exuberant heat due to yin deficiency, Du Meridian impassability, phlegm-qi stasis, damp and heat obstructing inside can lead to chilly sensation in the back. This study selected the medical records of patients, the main complain of who is "cough" in respiratory clinic of Oriental Hospitalof BUCM from2010January to2012November. A total of359cases were got. Among which there are98casesthat including the back cold syndrome, accounting for27.3%, women accounted for70%, men accounted for30%. In the age distribution, every age had some cases, but the middle age groupaccounted for a large proportion. In the season, people can get this disease in every season, mainly in spring and winter. In this98cases collected, the pathogenesis, which was clear,of coio back syndrome was concerned with "wear cold and drink cold". Since dorsalcold serious cases accounted for13.30%, we should pay more attention to the back cold syndrome. On the relationship between the back cold syndrome and cough, a part of patients showed back cold syndrome while cough; patients who also feared stomachcold body were not in the minority; people who had basic diseases accounted for19.39%. In the distribution of syndromes, phlegm stagnation, wind-cold attacking lung, wind-heat invading lung, phlegm and dampness blocked in the lung, deficiency of lung yang causing back cold disease accounts for the total proportion of42.7%, while the internal accumulation of damp-heat syndrome accounted for50%. The cold back syndrome due to Yang deficiency, including lung Yang deficiency, lung and spleen yang deficiency, lung and kidney yang deficiency accounted for30.6%. Lung Yang deficiency (14.3%)>lung and spleen yang deficiency (10.2%)>lung and kidney yang deficiency (6.1%).This research found cough accompanied with the back cold syndrome was common in clinical, but internal accumulation of damp-heat is the main type of syndrome.
