| Object:To observe the therapeutic effect (including the short-term and the long-term effect) of long-round needle therapy in the treatment of Low Back Pain (LBP)Methods:All the96patients who were came from the special clinic of long-round needle therapy in Guang’an-men Hospital China academy of Chinese Medical Sciences between the time of January,2007and June,2011, were all treated with long-round needle.3of these patients did not finish their treatment. Apply a detailed questionnaire to other93patients by cell phone in December,2011. The substances of following-up include the relapse, inducement, complications and the marks of VAS (Visual Analogue Scale) and ODI (Oswestry disability index). We got78patients’complete data by cell phone. All available data are dealt with statistical analysis.Results:After the treatment, the marks of VAS and ODI reduced significantly (P<0.01). The follow-up survey in more than half of one years showed that the marks of VAS and ODI also had no difference with the marks after treatment on statistics(P>0.01). There are16patients who were fully recovered from the LBP, and there was no one of these16patients to relapse or be worse. Seven patients did not get a significant therapeutic effect after the treatment. Of all patients, only one patient relapsed because of over-exertion, four patients felt slight low back pain in cold day, but the degree of pain is still lower than the degree of pain before they finished their treatment, and the function of lumbar has no significant difference with normal people. And patients’orthobiosis was not influenced by the low back pain. Of the other patients, there was not one to relapse or be worse.Conclusion:Long-round needle therapy not only has significant short-term effect for Low Back Pain, but also has significant long-term effect. The effect of Long-round needle therapy is significant and lasting. So it is worth to applicate the Long-round needle therapy to clinic. |
