Effects Of Qingfei Huatan Guben Decoction In The Treatment Of Acute Stage Of Bronchiectasis

【Objective】To Observe the influence of Qingfei Huatan GubenDecoction in the treatment of bronchial dilatation(bronchiectasis)patientswith clinical symptoms, signs, peripheralwhite blood cell (White Blood Cell, WBC), neutrophil (Neutrophil,NEU), lymphocyte (Lymphocyte, LYM) content and sputum, to discussthe clinical significance of Qingfei Huatan Guben Decoction in thetreatment of bronchiectasis patients.【Methods】50cases of patients with bronchiectasis in acute periodis divided into integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicinetreatment group25cases, control group only western medicine in25cases. The control group use western medicine method, includinginfection control, expectorant and symptomatic and supportivetreatment (according to the severity of dosage). The treatmentgroup is based on the method of treatment, while take Qingfei HuatanGuben Decoction according to the method of clearing heat andresolving phlegm Qi solid, one dose daily, decoction400ml, sooneror later the service,2weeks for a course of treatment. To observebefore and after treatment, symptoms, signs, chest X-ray or chestCT, peripheral blood WBC, NEU, LYM content, sputum and adverse reaction,to compare the changes of before and after treatment,【results】①The TCM syndrome total score changes: after2weeks of treatment, two groups of patients with syndrome totalscore decreased significantly, compared with that beforetreatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05); between the two groups were compared, the treatment groupimproved significantly compared with the control group, there arestatistically significant differences (P<0.05).②The mainsymptoms and signs of change: after2weeks treatment two groupsof patients with cough, chest pain, cough,hemoptysis or bloodysputum, dry mouth, thirst, fever, poor appetite, pulmonary ralesand other symptoms and signs were improved, compared withbefore treatment, the difference was statisticallysignificant (P<0.05) between the two groups were compared;, thetreatment group improved significantly compared with the controlgroup, there were statistically significant differences (P<0.05).③Clinical curative effect: totaleffectiveness of treatment group is96%, total effectiveness ofcomparison group is76%, compared to the two groups, the differencewas significant (P <0.05).④Peripheral blood WBC, the NEU, LYMcontent:2weeks after treatment, the content of serum WBC, NEU,LYM in two groups were significantly lower, compared with beforetreatment, the difference was significant (P <0.05); thecomparison between two groups, the treatment group improvedsignificantly compared with control group, differences there wasstatistical significance (P<0.05).⑤The sputum negativeconversion rate: the sputum negative conversion rate of the twogroups were50%and20%, has a bactericidal effect, compared to the two groups, the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05).⑥The two groups had no obvious adverse effect.【Conclusion】Qingfei Huatan Guben decoction combined with routinewestern medicine treatment can significantly improve patients withcough, expectoration, hemoptysis of bronchiectasis, sputum blood,dry mouth, chest pain, loss of appetite and other symptoms, improveclinical treatment efficiency; WBC, NEU, LYM level can effectivelydecrease in the peripheral blood of patients, improve the sputumnegative conversion rate, and no obvious toxic side effects. PromptQingfei Huatan Guben decoction could obviously alleviate thesymptoms, sign of bronchiectasis patients,decrease in cell levelin peripheral blood, and has antibacterial, bactericidal certainrole.
