ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical value of markers CA199, CA125, CA242andCEA in the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. To investigate the clinical value ofmarkers CA199, CA125, CA242and CEA in the diagnosis of patients withpancreatic cancer in different Hermreck pathological stages.MethodsDetection of serum tumor markers CA199, CA125, CA242and CEA wascarried out in48patients with pancreatic cancer and48healthy volunteers andthe results were analyzed.1. Detection of above serum tumor markers wascarried out in48patients with pancreatic cancer and48healthy volunteers byapplying Swiss full-automation biochemistry analyzer E170and the results wereanalyzed.2. The above serum tumor markers were analyzed by detectionmethod of radio-immunity and the results were compared with those by applyingSwiss full-automation biochemistry analyzer E170.ResultsCompared the results of the above four markers by applying the twomethods and the healthy group, serum CA199, CA125, CA242and CEA inpancreatic cancer patients all rise obviously. The sensibility and specificity ofcombining detection of the above four markers is higher than that of any onedetection; the above four markers in patients’ serum who have pancreaticcancer and lymphatic metastasis is higher than that of patients who have no lymphatic metastasis(P<0.05). Serum CA199, CA125, CA242and CEA inpancreatic cancer patients in different Hermreck pathological stages weresignificant higher than those in the normal control (P<0.05); with thepathological stages going on, the above indexes in stage III and stage IV werehigher significantly (P<0.01) compared with stage I and the positive ratecontinued to rise. Therefore, the combining detection of the above four markersis related to pancreatic cancer Hermreck stages to some extent.ConclusionsThe combining detection of tumor markers CA199, CA125, CA242andCEA can improve the sensibility and specificity of pancreatic caner diagnosisand provide reference for pancreatic caner early diagnosis. The changes ofserum of the four markers are significant for diagnosis and metastasis ofpancreatic caner. The changes of serum tumor markers CA199, CA125, CA242and CEA levels are helpful in diagnosis of pancreatic cancer in differentHermreck pathological stages and the detection of serum CA199, CA125,CA242and CEA levels is a valuable method to diagnose pancreatic cancer.
