Objective To investigate the characteristics of different type of semicircular canal benign paroxysmal positional vertigo patients with balance function, clear the significance and necessity of static and dynamic posturography.Methods44patients with posterior semicircular canal (PSC-BPPV) and22cases of the horizontal semicircular tube (HSC-BPPV) Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo patients with healthy volunteers, and44cases of matching age, gender. The test items include:static balance board test:posture stability limit Limits of Stability (S max) and the center of gravity move Statokinesigram curve and area description meter; dynamic equilibrium plate test:dynamic posture equilibrium diagram (Stabilogram); eyes open, eyes closed, about curve and the structure of feeling of the magnitude of the axial movement before and after the test SOT results. Record of all parameters and SOT results of static posturography.Results①PSC-BPPV patients with eyes open (EO) static posturography horizontal maximum offset Maximum X the Amplitude and posturography area SSKG group compared with the HSC-BPPV, the two parameters between the two groups the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); sense of structure analysis (SOT), the HSC-BPPV group postural stability compared with the PSC-BPPV group difference (P<0.05).②Most of the PSC-BPPV group of static posturography parameters compared with normal control group, that is, its balance function than the control group decreased significantly. Eyes open (EO) state, the Mean X, Mean Y, Max Y, SKGL, SKGS, LFS, Limits of Stability, The Romberg Quotient differences were statistically significant (p value<0.01), while the Max X-difference statistics significance (P>0.05); eyes closed (ES) state, Mean X Mean the Y, the differences were statistically significant (p value<0.01), the Max Y, the LFS difference was statistically significant (p<0.05), the Max X-SKGL, SKGS differences not statistically significant (P>0.05); the PSC-BPPV group dynamic postural stability than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (p<0.01), in place proprioceptive and visual participation, the ability to maintain a balanced vestibular decreased significantly.③HSC-BPPV group static posture most of the parameters compared with normal control group, eyes open (EO) state, Mean X, Max X, SKGL, the LFS, The Romberg Quotient differences were statistically significant (p value <0.01), Mean Y-difference was statistically significant (p<0.05), the Max Y, SKGS was no significant difference (P>0.05); eyes closed condition, Mean X, the Max X, LFS differences were obvious statistically significant (p value<0.01), Mean Y difference was statistically significant (p<0.05), the Max Y, SKGL, SKGS differences not statistically significant (P>0.05). The HSC-BPPV group dynamic postural stability than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (p<0.01), the participation of the place proprioceptive and visual, vestibular to maintain the balance was significantly impaired.Conclusion Both of the PSC-BPPV and the HSC-BPPV group, static and dynamic postural stability than the control group showed varying degrees of decline. PSC-BPPV group static postural stability compared with the HSC-BPPV group, the structure of feeling and dynamic test results to the contrary, the structure of feeling of the HSC-BPPV group testing and static posture SSKG control results show that the sense of structural testing more easy to find a stable posture instability, suggesting that static and dynamic posturography examination, comparative study more accurate assessment of BPPV patients with balance function.
