Objective:The experiment were detected at different time points of HSP27, caspase-3expression by immunohistochemistry, and initially explore the significance of the two expression after spinal cord injury in rats.Methods:. Adult male Sprague-Dawley rats each weighing260-300grams were used throughout the study. The rats were randomized to two groups. One group of animals subjected to compression injury of the spinal cord and one sham group. The blunt spinal cord injury group model were operated according to the Nystrom’s method. After the decapitation, the spianal cords were token out and cut, then the pathological changes of spinal cord cells with HE staining and expression of HSP27and caspase-3in spinal cord cells with immunohistochemical staining were observed respectively.Results:1. HSP27began to appear in the2h after spinal cord injury and significantly enhanced and reached the peak in the8h, but after the time it began to fall gradually.2. Caspase-3activity began to gradually increase after spinal cord injury, and72h reached the peak and then gradually weaken.3. In the start of the blunt spinal cord injury appeared less BBB score, but as time increases can appear spontaneously function improved. Conclusions:1.Nystrom method is an ideal blunt spinal cord damage model.2.HSP27and Caspase-3expressed in the cell apoptosis of blunt spinal cord injury and played an important role to prevent secondary injury...
