Infant hepatitis syndrome (IHS) refers to a type of clinical syndrome for thosewho are less than one year old baby (including neonatal infant) showing theappearance of liver icterus, tumefaction, bile duct abnormalities and congenitalgenetic metabolic disease caused by liver inflammation. The cause of this type ofdisease is quite complex, existing different kinds of other syndrome. It would resultin hepatocirrhosis, stupefaction, more syndrome, and even lethality according to theprimary etiological treatment. In this research, we collect the data in detail on149patients with infant hepatitis syndrome in the First Hospital of Jilin Universityduring the period of Jan2008to May2012.Objective: to study the main cause of infant hepatitis syndrome and itsinfluence factors. For baby hepatitis syndrome of the clinical features, complications,diagnostic measures and evaluation of therapeutic statistical analysis, this papersummarizes the effective diagnostic methods and treatment of HIS. Inductive infanthepatitis syndrome of clinical diagnosis, provide some of the assistance for betterclinical diagnosis and treatment in time.Methods: In this research, detailed data on149patients with infant hepatitissyndrome in the First Hospital of Jilin University during the period of Jan2008toMay2012were collected. Using the research methods of retrospective analysis,according to the research content, design the details of the questionnaire and medicalrecords from the extracting relevant information. The relative data collected wereincluding general condition, the age, signs and symptoms, results of laboratoryexaminations, and other IHS related information. Corresponding statistical methodswere applied to analyzing the data in detail.Results: In149cases diagnosed with HIS, the age and sex show different distribution. The age of these patients are various between one month to12months(averaging two month). The most part of the patients are upward two month old,accounted for57.72%, and male are higher than female patients. Their ratio is1.61:1.17cases merge the digestive system infection, accounted for11.41%.7cases withintracranial hemorrhage, accounted for4.69%.11cases of combined cardiovascularmalformation, accounted for7.38%.67cases show positive result in antibody ofgigantic virus, each accounted for44.97%.149cases show different degree damageof liver function.Conclusion: In149cases diagnosed with IHS, the age and sex show differentdistribution. The age of these patients are various between one month to12months(averaging two month). Male are higher than female patients. The principalappearance of IHS represent with liver icterus. HIS is usually attended by the infectionof breathing and digest system, abnormality of blood vessel in heart as well. CMV isthe highest type in IHS. The function of the liver is obviously getting better afterseveral types of treatment.
