A multi-functional wireless ECG monitoring system is introduced in this paper. Thesystem can be switched between the EASI12-lead ECG dynamic monitoring and theconventional12-lead ECG measurement, which makes it possible to be used in differentclinical applications. We use digitalize and modularize design pattern to develop the multi-functionalwireless ECG monitoring system, and choose CPLD (Complex Programmable LogicDevice) as the main control unit to achieve synchronous acquisition of channels’ ECGdata. In the system, we choose wireless transmission mode, so patients can be measuredand monitored in movement. We use PTR6000A as the wireless module, which has greatperformance and high integration, reduces the system’s power consumption. In theinterface circuit between wireless receiver part and PC, we use the series interface basedon USB2.0technology to transfer the ECG data to PC at a high speed. In order to achievereal-time data reading and real-time data processing, the PC-based central monitoringsoftware uses multi-thread technology. The main character of the system is multifunction, it can be used as the dynamicECG monitor and also can be used as the conventional12-lead ECG measurement system. And then, at dynamic ECG monitoring module, by synchronously acquiring conventional12-lead ECG data and EASI3-lead data, we can get the individual EASI derived12-leadconversion parameters. After individually corrected, using only five electrodes we canacquire rich and accurate information. So, it’s very suitable for the patients who needlong-time ECG monitoring. At the end of the work, we validate the system and find that the accordance betweenEASI derived12-lead ECG and conventional12-lead ECG improves greatly afterindividually corrected. The measurement results are more accurate and reliable.
