Objective:TO know the sexual function and sexual quality of life of the male patients with coronary heart disease after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) by a questionnaire, confirming whether PCI have impact on sexual function and sexual quality of life and analyzing the influenced factors, so to improve the quality of sexual life for the patients.Methods:Selected150successful implementation of elective or emergency PCI patients in February2010to February2011in a hospital in Tianjin, The patients requires cardiac interventional surgery, and found no surgical contraindications by the routine examination, selected criteria:men, marrid or haved partner, aged18-65years old, no reading and writing cognitive dysfunction, including no treproductive system diseases, mental and brain, liver, kidney and other vital organs illness. Ruling out the contact information which is not detailed, who can not be contacted and refused to accept the investigation of patients. Refer to some scale-made sexual quality of life questionnaire, then we use a self-designed questionnaire to have a regression survey. which included personal circumstances (age, education, degree, vocation, income, family history, exercise, whether resume the job, the feel after operation)and the sexual life condition(sexual desire6months before and after operation, times of sexual activities, erection and worried about sexual life). In order to obtain the patient’s trust and cooperation., We first asked the general living conditions of the patient, Then asked whether the patient is willing to answer about sexual aspects of life. Explaining the purpose and importance of this investigation. Emphasize all information is confidential. In order to avoiding the investigation stalled, or making a false answer and wrong data. We refer to some book and designed to minimize some of the sensitivity of the statement, avoiding to involving detailed information, we put the sexual life questions after the commonly life questions. We combined with interviews, letters, telephone to ask patient. Questionnaires were distributed in February2010when patients at the outpatient clinic. The patients completed the questionnaires themselves, then can the doctor, but not discussed with others or write by others. The doctor check the requirements and make patients modifications timely. Mailing or calling to patients who did not go to clinic and encouraging a face-to-face interviews.The last date is Feb.2012. The data were analyzed by the SPSS17.0, using two independent samples tests, two related samples test, chi-square test, there was significant difference if P<0.05.Results:About150cases meet the requirements including two cases of automobile accidents,9cases suddenlly change number,10cases temporarily change his mind and unwilling to answer,2cases stop completing the questionnaires, there finally have127cases complete the follow-up survey, a response rate is84.8%. Follow-up, aged18to65years old, average age (41.5±7.3) years old; height160-188cm, with an average of165±8.3cm; weight45-82kg, with an average of63.2±10.3kg.100cases of married,8cases of unmarried or divorced,15cases of widowed,6cases of farmers,22cases of workers,48cases of cadres,21cases of individuals, the others are30cases. Admission reasons:70cases of acute myocardial infarction, accounting for55.1%,45cases of angina pectoris, accounting for35.4%. Puncture way:88cases of the right radial artery, accounting for69.3%,33cases of right femoral artery, accounting for26.0%;6cases of both(4.7%). PTCA stent implantation more than one time is14cases, accounting for11%,1to113cases, accounting for89.0%.The Patients’sexual desire6months before and after operation, times of sexual activities, erection, satisfaction with the sexual life, and worries about sexual life, all of these had signifieant difference(P<0.01). It is better than before surgery.39cases (30.7%) patients within1month after surgery to restore sexual life, an average of49days.51.2%need knowledge on sexual function,32.6%think it does not matter,16.2%does not require; sexual initiation after appropriate time (36.8%), drugs influence on sexual function(23.2%), PCI influence on sexual function (21.1%).Conclusion:PCI can significantly improve the sexual quality of life of the male patients with coronary heart disease.The main factors are psychological factors and sexual health education.Its necessity and importance to give scientific sexual education to patients.
