The Preparation Technology Of The Standard Extract Of Ampelopsis Megalophylla And Study On Its Preliminary Stability

Ampelopsis megalophylla Diels et.Gilg is a medicinal plant of Ampelopsis.an original plant of the ethnic medicine’MeiCha’used commonly in the western parts of Hubei Frovince.It is neutral in nature and has sour and bitter tasting,used in the treatment of hypertension in clinical with significant effect.The prophase research shows that the flavonoids are the main effective substances of Ampelopsis megalophylla. About ten compounds from this plant are isolated and identified,and three compounds of them possess biological activity by the screening of pharmacological experiments. We also have established the fingerprint of the effective fraction of Ampelopsis megalophylla and the method of determination of Ampelopsin.which is the main effective component of Ampelopsis megalophylla. The content of Ampelopsin is about30%. So Ampelopsis megalophylla is the ideal plant medicine to develop the standardized extract and new drug from traditional Chinese medicine.This paper study on how to prepare the ethanol extract from the Ampelopsis megalophylla with the modern common and key technique,and the extract which is purificated by macroporous resin.as well as practical confirmation on processing technology. The paper also comparatively study on the content of the main effective components and its characters.The results show that the content of the main effective components of the extracts prepared by two methods are more60%,and the extract which is purificated by macroporous resin is better in characters and the content of effective substances than that of the ethanol extract.This paper researches on the stability of the extract of Ampelopsis megalophylla referring to’the Guiding Principle of Study on Stability of the Natural and Tradition Chinese Medicine’,and this result provides a scientific basis for its production,package,storage and the establishment of the period of validity.The acute toxicity experiment of the extract of Ampelopsis megalophylla is finished,in accordance with’the Guiding Principle of Study on the Acute Toxicity of the Natural and Tradition Chinese Medicine’. The result shows the amount within the common scope is security.only gastroinfestinal reaction,and provides a certain basis for the safety evaluation and the further research on toxicology of this standardized extract.The research results of this paper have determined the production technology of the extract of Ampelopsis megalophylla,provided a reliable technical parameters for the preparation of the standardized extract.A certain foundation can be established by this study for exploiting this medi ci nal plant i nto a i nnovati on medi ci ne.
