Investigate the expression of (33-adrenoceptor (β-AR) in human myometrium and its association with the onset of labor15cases of term pregnancy without labor (NL group),15cases of term pregnancy witn labor (L group) and15cases of nonpregnant women (NP group) undergoing hysterectomy due to cervical intraepithelial neoplasia were recruited in this clinical study. Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction and Western Blot method was used to evaluate the expression of β3-AR mRNA and protein in myometrium.(1). β3-AR was expressed in myometrium in all the three groups(2). The expression of β3-AR mRNA in L group was significantlylower than that in NL group[(0.317±0.06) vs.(0.714±0.103)],P=0.000,P <0.05, while its expression in NL group was significantly higher than that in NP group [(0.714±0.103) vs.(0.282±0.075)],P=0.000,P<0.05. The was no significant difference of β3-AR mRNA expression between NP group and L group,P=0.25, P>0.05.(3).The expression of β3-AR protein in L group was significantlylower than that in NL group[(0.379±0.027)vs.(0.690±0.054)],P=0.000,P <0.05, while its expression in NL group was significantly higher than that in NP group [(0.690±0.054)vs.(0.362±0.045)],P=0.000,P<0.05. The was no significant difference of (33-AR protein expression between NP group and L group,P=03, P>0.05Conclusions β3-AR was expressed in myometrium; Thedown-regulated expression of β3-AR in myometrium was related to the onset of labor.
