| Objectives:With the social economy development, medical health condition improvement and residents’health level increasing, the mortality of patients in hospital is declining and death spectrum is also changing significantly. By describing the sequence of cause of death and the level of death distribution of patients in third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University in2000-2011, to know the main cause of patients died in hospital and make residents known the state of health in their living space. Meanwhile, to strengthen heath promotion, change personal unhealthy live style, and decline the mortality, improve people’s heath level and life quality; provide the important proposal for managing, configuration medical recourse and creating better medical environment.Methods:The object in this research is cases died in the Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University in2002-2011, analyzed by a retrospective survey. To collect information of cases in died in10years in medical record office information query system, comparing with the death statistics and death records. The causes of death classify by CID-10. To use Microsoft Excel2007to create the database, and use SPSS18.0statistics software to analysis the consist of causes of death, the mortality and sequence of causes of death in the way of descriptive analysis.Results:In all1246cases in died in hospital, the sequence before5diseases are circulation system disease (22.6%), injury and poisoning (19.3%), tumor (16.7%), digestive system disease (10.4%), respiratory system disease (9.2%), these5diseases accounting for78.2%in all cases. The causes of circulation disease are mainly consisting of cerebral hemorrhage; coronary heart disease and cerebral infarction; the causes of injury and poisoning are traffic accident, fall and burn; the causes of tumor are liver cancer, lung cancer and leukemia.In the past10years, the sequence of death has been changing quietly. Although tumor, circulation system disease, respiratory system disease, injury and poisoning, digestive system disease are still before5, circulation system disease and injury and poisoning are the two kinds of main death before5.The sequence of causes of man before5is injury and poisoning, tumor, digestive system disease, respiratory system disease. The sequence of causes of woman before5is circulation system disease, tumor, injury and poisoning, digestive system disease, respiratory system disease.There is difference in the different age groups in the sequence of causes of death. The age group of0-4is main consisting of the perinatal period disease, infectious and parasitic disease and congenital disease. The age group of5and15is injury and poisoning, The age group of45is tumor and circulation system disease.From2002to2011, the average mortality is3.81%o, the average developing speed id87.81%o, the average increasing speed is-12.19‰. The average mortality of man is5.45‰, the average mortality of woman is2.18‰, man is higher than woman. The average of mortality of city is4.49‰, that of rural is3.01‰, the city is higher than the rural. The age group of60(5.26%o) is highest, and the age of15-44is lowest. The higher mortality of mortality before3is injury and poisoning (9.18‰), circulation system disease (8.58%), infectious and parasitic disease (7.72‰).Conclusions:The main causes of death harming patients’health and life are circulation system disease, injury and poisoning, tumor, digestive system disease and respiratory system disease. The spectrum of death of patients in hospital changes significantly, the sequence of injury and poisoning is rising and the sequence of respiratory is declining. Although the sequence of death is changing with age, gender, the city and rural, the big5are all the same. The main causes directed patients died are circulation system disease, injury and poisoning.There is significantly difference in age and gender, The children (age group of0-4) mortality is higher, the young man (age group of5-.14-) has a trend of decline, the middle-age man (age group of45-59) has a trend of increasing, the old man (age group of60-) mortality is highest. The main cause of death of young man is injury and poisoning, that of the middle-age and old man are circulation system disease and tumor. Health education aims at different age groups, it is useful to prevent chronic disease and its complications, and improve the quality of life.The number of hospital patients has been increasing year by year from2002-2011, the mortality of hospital patients has been declining. There is significant difference in gender, city and rural. The mortality of man is higher than woman; the mortality of city is higher than the rural. The hospital should strengthen health promotion of chronic non-communicable disease and injury and poisoning improve medical quality, reasonable configuration medical resources, decline the risk of death. |
